The town of Rosarito is a single element of the municipality named Playas de Rosarito
Rosarito is a coastal resort city in the Mexican state of Baja California found approximately 10 miles south of the U.S. border in Rosarito Beach Municipality. Frequently mistakenly named Rosarito Beach since of the nicely–recognized Rosarito Beach Hotel, the town of Rosarito is one particular part of the municipality named Playas de Rosarito (“Seashores of Rosarito”).
Its seashores, latina escorts and dance clubs are a common location for young individuals from the United States throughout the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Rosarito Beach is the seat of the municipality of Rosarito Beach. The city is the second greatest in the Tijuana metropolitan area and southern seashore city of the San Diego–Tijuana global metropolitan region.
It is the westernmost municipal seat in Mexico, slightly farther west than neighboring Tijuana, which lies inland to its north-northeast. As of 2010, the city had a population of 65,278.
Rosarito has historically been centered on tourism and Rosarito escorts. It started with the Ortiz family’s establishment of Rene’s (Bar, Restaurant, Trailer Park and Motel) in 1925. Rene served his town holding the place Delegado (Mayor) much more than any other politician in Rosarito. Rene, a prominent businessman, helped produce Rosarito from a ranch to a town which later grew to become a city. When Rene was not ready to serve his individuals any longer he chose as his successor Hugo Torres Chabert, a friend and owner of Hotel Rosarito. In September 1996, James Cameron’s manufacturing group moved to the newly developed Fox Baja Studios in Rosarito, in which a complete scale RMS Titanic had been constructed for the 1997 film, in which Fox acquired 40 acres of waterfront south of Rosarito Beach.
